- Sensitive data (SSN): Social Security Numbers are encrypted at the application level using AES-256 encryption and retained in encrypted form for the duration of the retention period. They are never stored in plain text.
Data that has been archived is not permanently deleted but is moved to a restricted archive accessible only to authorized administrators. This ensures compliance with legal retention obligations while keeping active records organized.
